| bio Recording solo artist Roxann Morin has a unique soprano voice – powerful, flexible and clear. She is a 4th generation Seventh-day Adventist born in Wiesbaden, Germany and was brought up and educated in Florida where she currently resides with her husband and family. She has been singing traditional Christian music professionally for over 10 years. It was in middle school where she discovered her hidden talent. She transferred middle schools a few weeks into a new school year and the Girl’s Chorus was the only elective class that had room. Though she had a bit of trouble at first getting the hang of singing in parts –there her talent blossomed. She surprised herself and her mother who playfully use to say, “She can’t keep a tune in a bucket.” Roxann continued throughout her schooling involved in singing. In high school she was a part of many distinguished singing groups and ensembles. Also, she began taking private voice lessons—singing solos at church and other social functions. In college, Roxann started to classically train vocally under the guidance of Dr. Leigh Ashmore-Stephenson. She was a part of Phi Sigma Theta and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and graduated Cum Laude in 2003 from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Studio Art, with a concentration in Graphic Design. Roxann has preformed throughout the United States, Canada and Bermuda. In 2007 she released her first CD “Roxann Morin | My Desire,” which is an original collection of traditional Christian music. She performs for concerts, church, weddings, special events and Handel’s Messiah solo airs. |
